Barefoot in the Park Cast (2019)
CAST PROFILES
Andersen Stawiarski (Corie) – Andersen, originally from Pace, Florida, is a wife and a mother. New to Loudon County, she is excited to be a part of an acting community. This is Andersen's theatrical debut outside of a church. She is thrilled to be taking part in this production.
Ira Massie (Telephone Man) – Originally from Lexington (Huge Wild Cat Fan) Ira has been a part of the Lyric since the beginning with “Our Town”. He is the long time “Voice of the Cherokees” working with the Greenback High School sports scene of football and basketball now over 30 years. He will be back on the air this fall doing play by play for the football team. He is a member of Builders on Mission, a group who travel to help construct churches in the region. He has two children and works for the USPS.
Don Kapa (Delivery Man) – Don has been involved with community theaters in Knoxville for the past several years. Notable performances include “Arsenic And Old Lace”, “The Red Velvet Cake Wars” and “Rumors”. As a writer his play “De-Tox” was performed last year at My Place, Performing Arts in Knoxville. Barefoot In The Park’s cast and crew have worked very hard and Director Marie Fertitta has provided the kind of creative leadership that guarantees a good show. Don hopes everyone enjoys this performance.
Chris Thomas (Paul) – Chris Thomas is a Vice President with United Community
Bank. He recently played Dracula, Joe Gibbs in “Our Town” and Ken Gorman in “Rumors”. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer and two children, Carrie and Richie. Chris is excited to have the opportunity to be on stage again with the Lyric Theatre Company.
Amy Akins (Mother) – Amy has been a member of the Lyric Theatre Company since 2012 when she played Aunt Augusta in “The Importance Of Being Earnest”. Since then she has done everything from lights and sound to directing. To her, working in community theatre is the best therapy ever invented. Nothing lifts her spirits like coming to rehearsal every week.
Robert Harrison (Victor) – At the age of 59 he first appeared at the Clayton Center for the Performing Arts, Maryville, Tn. He was cast as the Ghost of “Old King Hamlet” opposite his son as Hamlet. He was Stage Manager in an ad hoc production of “Our Town” at The Lyric Theatre in Loudon. Interesting roles include Lane in “The Importance of Being Earnest”, the Foley in “The Christmas Tree Angel Radio Drama”; “Hemingway” a one man show, the Fox News Guy. Robert is multi-talented as he directs, designs/constructs sets, handles lights/ sound, and publicity. Robert was a professional photographer, became a commercial real estate broker, currently licensed in TN, SC, NC & VA. He has a B.S. in Economics from Clemson University.
